In date order this page provides links to several examples of budgets and funding bids. The first link presents an overview of the entirety of the funding I have received since 2008, the next link presents the earliest available example of my experience using budgets and the links continue to demonstrate my fundraising experience with the final link on this page presenting my most recent/current application with both artistic proposal and budget.

This document breaks down the Â£250'000 funds that have been raised since 2008. Showing cash investments versus support in kind and sponsorships.

Out of Site

This document shows a very crude budget of my first independent project. It was not written in excel and lists the very basic details one would expect to see in a budget. It therefore left lots of room for error.

The project 'Out of Site' was an indo-british exchange, there was no request made to Arts Council England and the project was managed in dual currency; British Pound and Indian Rupee.

Ambitious budgeting.

In 2011 I submitted what has been my most ambitious funding bid to date; a £30'000 request from Arts Council England.

The project was titled 'Beyond The Parasol' and was a cross arts event.

This link will take you to the Arts Council Funding Application where you can see the entire project outline and budgets.

Working with a Producer

In order to meet the demands of increasing work loads I employed a producer in 2015. Sarah Shead helped with funding raising on three projects. They were titled 'Momentum', 'Grit' and 'AMOI - Tour'. Whilst the partner building and gathering of information was still done by myself, Sarah was instrumental in writing the application. Project management, the handling of the budget and the evaluation processes were all then turned back over to myself.

This link leads to the evaluation report of GRIT. GRIT was unique among my project requests to ACE as it was rooted in professional development and required high levels of organisation in terms of coordinating project participants and artists, it therefore demonstrates a critical awareness of the human resource aspects of project teams.

Returning to writing

In 2017 it became difficult to coordinate a suitable schedule in which to collaborate with a producer. I therefore returned to handling the submissions personally but with collaborative support on the writing from a colleague.

Open Project

The attached application is my most recent successful submission,.

Again this was submitted personally having been written collaboratively with a my colleague. The application is for a tour of a new solo production; the partnerships, the booking of the tour and all artistic activity and wrap around activities have been negotiated and managed by me personally. This final application, a 67 page document, when observed next to the first 'Out of Site' 2 page budget is a testament to the progression of my professional skill.
